ELKTUN

TrollAktiv and Viltgården has made a collaboration. Come and visit the King of the Forest!

Welcome to a unique farm experience with the Elk!

We have gathered a lot of knowledge about Elk over the years and look forward to sharing it with you.

Our opening hours are from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily from June to September.

We start daily with Elk information at 12:00 PM and continue directly to feeding. You can get very close to the Elk to pet and feed them.
It’s a unique opportunity to experience the king of the forest up close. Just enjoy! The guided tour lasts about 2 hours.

We recommend arriving at our farm well before the tour, and please note that there may be some waiting time during busy periods.

The most important thing for us is that you have a great experience and that you can help create a wonderful day with us. There are several activities for children, so feel free to bring out your playful side for a great experience.

The Elk up close

The Elk, the majestic king of the forest, is an impressive animal that thrives in the northern woods and mountainous areas of Norway.

With its powerful antlers and large body, the Elk exudes strength and calm. These herbivorous animals primarily feed on bark, shoots, and leaves, thriving in diverse habitats from forested areas to wetlands. Elk calves, born in the spring, grow quickly and eventually become as impressive as the adults. Elk are also a common sight along roads, especially at dusk, and it’s important for drivers to be aware of these majestic creatures. The Elk is not only a symbol of Norwegian nature but also an essential part of the country’s rich ecosystem.
