TrollAktiv offers Canoe rental on the scenic Byglandsfjord lake. Our rental base is in the village beside the local shop. We have 14ft and 16ft Canoes that are very stable and easy to paddle.

Byglandsfjord is a spectacular and varied lake, offering beautiful nature and plenty of places to explore. You can paddle to the north and the south from the launch point.
The best sandy beaches are located north of Byglandsfjord on the west side of the lake
The lake also features dramatic cliffs, quiet sandy coves, and peaceful nature

Your first stop is the TrollAktiv reception to check in and collect your paddles and buoyancy aids. Buoyancy aids should be worn correctly at all times when on the water

- The maximum weight is 120kg per person.
- Lifejackets MUST always be worn

- Be wary of a tailwind. Remember you will be paddling back in a headwind.

This is where the canoes are located and where you will start your trip. Once there, you can select your canoe and begin paddling.
- Light clothing so you can swim easily if needed
- Prepare for wetaher bring a rain coat and extra layers if needed.
- No heavy footwear that could make it hard to swim
