The TrollAktiv team consists entirely of professional outdoor instructors/guides.

With over 30 years of industry experience in both summer and winter activities, we have a solid foundation for offering safe and quality-assured experiences for our guests. We are very proud of our fast and service-minded customer care. Our summer season runs from April to November, during which we recruit professional instructors from all over the world each year.

Yvonne has been with TrollAktiv for 22 years. Has a wealth of knowledge and experience which she brings to the team in our booking and hospitality department.

Hedda keeps things running smoothly as the head of safety and maintenance for our climbing park, and she also helps guests get set up in our booking department.

Gappu has been with us for 14 years and brings extensive experience as both a raft guide and safety kayaker. When he's not at Troll, he runs his own rafting company back home in India.

Julie is back for her fifth season at Troll. Julie is one of our most versatile guides, with experience from around the world. Julie brings a lot of joy and laughter to the team. You will likely find her on the river.

Jitee is back for his fourth year as a raft guide at Troll! While he spends most of his time in a raft, he’s also an excellent kayaker with serious skills on the water.

Back for his third season, Olly is all about outdoor adventure—but you’ll usually find him on the water, whether in a raft or a canoe. And when he is not paddling, he's probably by the river with a fishing rod in hand.

Returning for his fourth year at Troll, Deepak loves everything the river has to offer. Easily our most fashionable guide, he’s always up for a good laugh—try hitting him with your best knock-knock joke!

Gjertrud brings over 30 years of experience in the industry, with a strong background as both a skilled kayaker and skier. As the head of our booking department, she’s likely the friendly voice you’ll hear on the phone or the one welcoming you by email before you arrive at Troll.

Lotte is returning for her third year at Troll, bringing experience in both land and river activities. Always smiling and full of positive energy, she’s known for her great sense of humor and love for a good laugh. Whether she's guiding on the water or leading an activity on land, Lotte makes every adventure more fun.

Ben has been part of the Troll team for six years, working both as a skilled guide and as one of our dedicated managers. With his deep knowledge of our activities and strong leadership on and off the river, Ben plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly.

Guide

Heketa (Hek) is a raft and fishing guide from New Zealand with a passion for the outdoors. At home, he splits his time between guiding river trips and leading fishing adventures, always eager to share his love for nature and water with others.

Lily (USA)

Guide

Lily is originally from New Hampshire, U.S.A., and is joining Troll for her first year. Lily discovered her passion for kayaking after moving to Ireland four years ago. Since then, she’s embraced the paddling life and continues to explore rivers with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Guide

Jill is returning for her second season at Troll. Jill works mainly on the water, guiding rafts, canoeing, kayaking, and SUP trips with skill and enthusiasm.

Guide

John Flynn is from Ireland and recently completed a degree in Chemical Engineering. He’s passionate about the outdoors—especially hiking, climbing, skiing, and most of all, kayaking. Fun fact: John grew up on a dairy farm with over 300 cows.

Guide

Amber is from Utah, USA, and brings five years of rafting experience to the team. She has guided on rivers in Colorado, the Grand Canyon, and New Zealand. In the winter, she trades the water for snow as a professional snowmobile guide.

Guide

Scott, known by his nickname "Wod," is from Turangi, New Zealand. He was a river rafting guide on his hometown river, the Tongariro. When he’s not on the water, you’ll most likely find him out mountain biking and chasing adventure on land

Ronald is returning for his third season at Troll. In the summer, he loves all kinds of outdoor activities, whether it's in the mountains, on the water, or in the forest. From skiing to mountain biking, he’s been enjoying this lifestyle for 10 years.
