YOUTH GROUP TRIPS TO NORWAY

Winters in Norway are a truly unique experience that your group will never forget.

Build new skills on cross-country ski’s, explore the frozen wilderness on snowshoes, summit local viewpoints and dig for survival building your snow shelter. Learn about the Nordic winter culture, activities, traditions and foods; experiencing them first hand to create lasting memories. 
 
Our centre is located in the heart of the Norwegian countryside, and in our opinion, this makes it the perfect base for a winter activity holiday; from our doorway we can step into a winter wonderland.

Activities: 

Snowshoeing
Spend a day mastering snowshoeing, through games and activities; before exploring local landscapes. Whether your winding through the forest, gazing at the frozen waterfalls or summiting the viewpoints over the fjords, you’ll experience just how far this equipment can take you in exploring all that Norways nature has to offer. 
 
Cross-Country Skiing
Your instructors will guide you from beginner to confident glider, helping you master the basics before setting out to explore the local trails. Journey through forests and along frozen lakes, climb gentle hills before cruising on down, and experience the breathtaking beauty of our winter landscapes.
 
Survival Skills
Learn all about the types of winter shelters, and snow conditions needed before you head off into the wilds to choose your location, assess your snow and build for success to create your shelter for your team. 
Light fires using natural materials, try avalanche transceiver training or high-energy sledging, this hands-on experience day develops confidence, teamwork, and resilience in the great outdoors.

Evening’s:
Return to the warmth of heated cabins, to unwind and relax. 
Sit down to a two-course dinner, created for you by our centre’s chefs.

Option 1: Fully catered. We provide breakfast, lunch packet and 2 course evening meal. Drinks included with meals. 
 
Option 2: Self catering. You use your kitchen facilities to make your own food each day.
 
Option 3: Semi-catered.  Combine options 1 and 2. For example, make your own breakfast and lunch, with dinner served by us.

FAQ

There are many ways to get to TrollAktiv. Some use a scheduled bus, others hire a bus, while some prefer to drive.

We have extensive experience in planning trips to TrollAktiv, and are happy to help you find the best route and mode of transport.

Safety has always been an important theme at TrollAktiv. The activities are carried out together with professional instructors. We make sure that you have a safe and good experience when you visit us.

At TrollAktiv, we have good and clear safety routines.

Activities at TrollAktiv AS. I confirm that:

• I / we will follow all the instructions given in orientations and safety lectures from instructors and employees at TrollAktiv AS.

• I / we declare that I / we do not have any medical conditions including injury, illness or pregnancy that could put you or others at risk while participating in the activities.

• I / we declare that I / we are not under the influence of alcohol or other drugs while I / we participate in the activities.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• TrollAktiv Drift AS reserves the right to make changes or cancel activities due to extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen events.

• In exceptional cases, tours can be canceled or the start time changed if we do not have the required number of participants before the start of the activity.

ONLINE BOOKING CONDITIONS AND CANCELLATION FEE

*Does not apply to youth groups and orders over DKK. NOK 10,000 (see order confirmation for cancellation fees)

• We accept the following credit cards – VISA, MASTER

• The order is binding upon payment, with confirmed approved transaction. Please print the confirmation for proof of transaction.

• Cancellation 2 weeks or more before the appointment, we refund 80% of the total price.

• Cancellation 2 weeks – 24 hours before the appointment, we refund 50% of the total price.

• Cancellation less than 24 hours before the appointment, we refund 0% of the total price.

• Cancellation due to illness/injury which can be confirmed by medical certificate, we refund 90% – regardless of the time of cancellation.

• Cancellation of TrollAktiv Drift AS – We can offer an alternative activity or a 100% refund of the total price.

• To cancel, we ask you to send the order confirmation via post or e-mail to TrollAktiv Drift AS. Please provide bank account number and contact information for refund.

Information about who and what kind of allergens must be sent to us as soon as possible for any groups that are ordering catering. 
 

We have waste stations outside the area. Stations for deposit, plastic, cardboard, glass/metal and residual waste. Feel free to ask us where you can dispose of this.


All objects that are found in TrollAktiv are registered with the date when they are handed in, and are kept at reception. All valuables are delivered to the police in Evje once a year, approx. 15 November. All other lost property will be stored with us for 14 days. It is then collected and sorted. Worthless things are thrown away. Clothes, shoes, toys etc. are collected and sent to orphanages (usually in Brazil).

TrollAktiv is centrally located in Southern Norway, 5 km from Evje in the scenic Setesdalen.
