Fjellski Telemark

From December to May the local mountains are snow-covered and picturesque. 

 

We have thousands of square kilometres of high mountain terrain to explore on our ski mountain touring trips. Accommodation can be arranged in mountain huts, snow holes or igloos.  Experienced instructors lead guided trips above the tree-line in the spectacular winter mountain scenery. 

 

We concentrate on teaching you backcountry skiing skills and have a special focus on the Telemark turn.  In addition, we will encourage you to learn to navigate, recognize avalanche-prone slopes and teach you how to spot wildlife such as the local reindeer.  

 

Duration:  Day or multi day trips

 

Equipment you need:  50 L rucksack, hot drink lunch, wind & waterproof outer clothing, warm mid layer, wool socks, long johns & undershirt. Duvet jacket,  woollen hat and gloves. 

 

Equipment provided:  Skis, sticks, boots, skins, waxes, avalanche safety gear.  First aid equipment and wind shelter carried by instructor.

 

Add ons: Downhill ski days on Telemark skis at a local ski centre.
