TrollAktiv arrange educational avalanche courses for groups and individuals that wish to understand the complex and inexact science of avalanches.  These course are ideal for anyone that travels in the winter mountains on skis or on a snow scooter.  These are practical, outdoor courses where the participant will learn to use the safety equipment important for avalanche safety and also learn how to spot the danger signs and understand which mechanisms occur when an avalanche is triggered.  We will also teach you how to organise and search for a buried victim.  Our courses are led by qualified and experienced outdoor professionals.  We can run the course anywhere there is snow covered terrain and will travel to wherever our guests are located to deliver this course.

Welcome to the "Cabin"

An avalanche locks you in the cabin!

A cozy cabin trip takes an abrupt turn when an avalanche rages over the cabin. With the snow falling outside, the next avalanche could be just around the corner. Trapped in snow, you must find a way to get out of the cabin. Without modern technology or cell phone coverage, you must search through the cabin to find intriguing clues, locks and codes that can help get you out before the next avalanche triggers and the cabin is buried.

Can you get out before it’s too late?

What is an escape room?

An escape room is an interactive experience where participants solve puzzles and challenges to escape a locked room within a given time frame.

Collaboration is a key component. Our escape room is designed to promote teamwork, communication and problem solving skills. Read more about tips here:

  1. Communication is key.
    • Encourage the group to communicate openly and effectively. Share information and ideas to solve puzzles together.
  2. Play to each other’s strengths.
    • Identify and leverage the unique skills of each participant. Some may be good with numbers, while others are good at seeing patterns.
  3. Check the room carefully.
    • Take the time to explore the room thoroughly before you start solving the puzzles. Notice details, hidden objects and any clues.
  4. Read the instructions carefully.
    • Before starting, carefully read all instructions and rules given by the game master. This gives you a good understanding of what is expected.
  5. Organize information.
    • Write down clues and information in a structured way. Having an overview can help the group see connections and solve puzzles faster.
  6. Don’t be afraid to ask for hints.
    • If the group is stuck on a task, don’t hesitate to ask the game master for a hint. It can help you progress and maintain the flow of the game.
  7. Distribute tasks.
    • Divide the group into smaller teams to tackle different parts of the room at the same time. This can increase efficiency and help solve multiple puzzles at once.
  8. Keep track of time.
    • Pay attention to the remaining time. Take time to double-check the solutions and final clues before exiting.
  9. Think outside the box.
    • Be creative when approaching problems. Sometimes the solution requires a different approach than what may seem obvious at first glance.
      Have fun:
  10. Most importantly, remember to have fun!
    • Escape rooms are not only about solving puzzles, but also about enjoying the experience and the cooperation with the group.
Good luck, and enjoy the escape room experience!
